Absolute Beginners SUMMER FLAMENCO
Tuesdays 6.30pm to 8.30pm, 29 June to 20 July (4 weeks). Course Code DS007.
Learn from scratch the fundamental steps and style of Spanish Gypsy dance, with weekly live guitar accompaniment and an end-of-course Fiesta.

Autumn Term 16 September - 2 December 2010 (12 weeks). Course code DD050.

This lively and dynamic course progresses over three terms from beginner to elementary level and covers fundamental steps, style, rhythms (including castañets) and choreography. Develop your co-ordination, stamina, poise and appreciation of flamenco culture, with live guitar accompaniment and end of term performances. (This course involves home practice and requires one short written assignment per term).

Autumn Term 16 September - 2 December 2010 (12 weeks). Course code DD058.

This intensive course progresses over three terms from Lower to Upper Elementary level and covers further technique (including castañets) and choreography (por Tientos) with live guitar accompaniment and performance opportunities. Students will develop confidence, expression, style and panache! (This course involves home practice and requires one short written assignment per term).

Flamenco Dance Summer Course
6 week course 12 July to 16 August 2010.
Mondays BEGINNER 7.00pm to 8.30pm, INTERMEDIATE 8.00pm to 9.45pm.
These summer courses cover technique (footwork combinations, turns, arm & wrist movement, co-ordination) and short dance routines.. The half hour over-lap allows students of different levels to meet and progress together.
BEGINNER £45 INTERMEDIATE £66 (prices include live guitar accompaniment).

Flamenco Dance Level 1

12 week course, starting 14 September 2010.

Tuesdays 7.00pm to 8.30pm.

Level 1 covers fundamental steps, rhythms and style of Spanish gypsy dance, building beginners' confidence towards performing a variety of short dance routines. This course involves some home practice

£90 (includes live guitar accompaniment).

Flamenco Dance Level 2

12 week course, starting 14 September 2010.

Tuesdays 8.00pm to 9.45pm.

Level 2 covers more complex moves and steps, and leads to the performance of more challenging choreographies with style, power and panache. This course involves some home practice.

£132 (includes live guitar accompaniment).

On these fun and intensive courses, men and women develop poise, coordination, expression and stamina, and there are many performance opportunities throughout the year.
