This lively and dynamic course progresses over three terms from beginner to elementary level and covers basic steps, style and choreography with live guitar accompaniment and end of term performance. (This course involves some home practice and requires one short written assignment). Enrol now as this course fills up quickly.
Flamenco Andalucia Level 2
Thursdays 2.50pm to 4.20pm.
One year course
Autumn Term 18th September - 4th December 2008. Course code DD058.
This course covers further technique (including castanets) and choreography (por Alegrias y por Bulerķas) with live guitar accompaniment and performance opportunities. Students will develop confidence, expression and style. (This course involves some home practice and requires one short written assignment).

Level 1 covers fundamental steps, rhythms and style of Spanish gypsy dance, building beginners' confidence towards performing a variety of short dance routines including Tientos and Bulerias. This course involves some home practice and requires one short written assignment per term).

One year course
16th September 2008 - 23rd June 2009. Course code V2235MGS
Level 2 covers more complex moves and steps, and leads to the performance of more challenging choreographies (Soleares and Bulerias) with style, power and panache. This course involves some home practice and requires one short written assignment per term).
On these fun and intensive courses, men and women develop poise, coordination, expression and stamina, with additional live guitar accompaniment and performance opportunities throughout the year.

Each course is 8 weeks. On the first sessions attended the student will be
expected to pay 6 weeks in advance (prices in bold) and these 6 classes
can be taken at any time in the term, allowing a 2-week margin for holiday and
illness. Once a student has completed 6 weeks of classes, they can then pay
for each additional class they attend individually (prices in italics).
